Good cranial mechanics and symmetrical physical development ensure that the brain will grow harmoniously to expand evenly without compression in order to integrate coordination and the learning of motor skills.<\/p>\n<p>Difficult and multiple pregnancy, breech birth, long and forceful labor, C-section and the use of forceps will generate forces on the baby\u2019s bony structure that may need remedying. Compression of the skull can deform the cartilaginous bones, forcing them to overlap, twist and change in shape. The same effects can appear on the vertebrae of the spine and on the pelvis, hips and feet of the newborn.<\/p>\n<p>Cranial and spinal torsion patterns, asymmetrical head and face, torticollis, side bent physical attitude are also often noticed. The techniques are extremely light, yet very precise and specific to each restriction of mobility; and along with being effective, have been found to be rather pleasant for the baby as well. Results are fast as the baby\u2019s structures are supple and a return to normalcy is rapid.<\/p>\n<p>Craniosacral osteopathic treatment of the baby is also able to stimulate the nervous system control over the pulmonary and digestive systems.
